"It is abundantly clear the Governor is intent on forum shopping," said Bailey's attorney, Thomas DeVore.

"Any developer or any contractor that seeks City Council approval needs to take into account and consideration that there be some diversity and some parity when awarding some of these contracts," Ald. Gilbert Villegas (36th) said.
The City Council voted to prohibit employers from firing, demoting, or otherwise retaliating against workers who stay home because they have the virus, were exposed to it, or are caring for someone who does.
"Phase 3 permits all gatherings, not just essential ones, of 10 people or fewer. That means if you want to go enjoy a picnic in the park or walk with nine other people, you can. Just remember to wear a mask or face covering one social distancing cannot be maintained."

The increase to $13.50 an hour is for workers employed at businesses with four to 20 employees, and $14.00 per hour for employers with more than 20 employees.
"If the GOP wants to keep people from voting on this, keep people away from the ballot box, that says something about the lack of confidence in their position," Gov. JB Pritzker said.
"Certainly there were some churches that congregated in excess of the allowable number, and we will be taking action as to those individuals and those churches," Lightfoot said at an unrelated event Monday morning.
