Larry Neuman, 73, was shot around 11:30 a.m. in the 4300 block of West Monroe Street in West Garfield Park.
The messages, "Gaza is bleeding," and, "Stop genocide," were also scrawled on the plaza in front of the fountain.
The boy, Jai'mani Amir Rivera, was shot in the chest around 3 p.m. Tuesday while exiting the building in the Oakley Square Apartments complex.
Neighbors said they were shocked to learn that their beloved friend was shot and killed in broad daylight.
Organizers said some of their kids join more advanced sailing programs.
The Bluebird Records recording sessions took place on the top floor of the now-Leland Tower, formerly the Leland Hotel where artists recorded more than 300 songs.
