Her career started in Western New York as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WKBW-TV. While in Buffalo, Nikki also served as a Make-A-Wish Wish Hero and on the board of Second Generation Theatre Company.
Nikki has won three Emmy Awards during her career and has been nominated more than a dozen times for her work in several markets. She's also been recognized as the first-ever winner of the "Media Award Recognizing Promotional Excellence" from the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey.
Growing up, Nikki trained in classical ballet and spent much of her childhood dancing with a youth ballet company. The dance studio is where she first fell in love with storytelling.

Whenever she's not in the newsroom, it's a safe bet you can find her in a dance class, at the shore, reading, or finding new trails to walk with her adopted rescue dog.
