Joshua Cole is proud to call Atlanta home as an anchor and journalist for CBS News Atlanta. You can catch him on the 11 p.m. newscast and in the early evening, bringing you the stories that matter most to metro Atlanta.
Before arriving in the Big A, Joshua was an anchor and reporter in Southwest Florida for WZVN and WBBH, where he covered breaking news, local government and the "news you can use" stories that shaped Gulf Coast communities. During his time there, he reported on five major hurricanes, including Hurricanes Ian in 2022 and Milton in 2024, both of which dramatically reshaped the region.
Prior to Florida, Joshua was an Alert Desk anchor and reporter at WSMV in Nashville. While in Music City, he covered several nationally significant stories, including the 2020 Christmas Day bombing, devastating tornado outbreaks, widespread social justice protests and Tennessee politics.
Joshua also worked as an anchor and reporter at KHBS/KHOG in Northwest Arkansas and as a weekend anchor at KLBK in Lubbock, Texas.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Joshua graduated from Harding University in Arkansas with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism and theatre.
When he's not covering the news, Joshua enjoys trying new restaurants, visiting museums, attending theater performances and concerts, and taking his dog on walks through new parks and trails.
