Michigan college basketball teams unite to fight food insecurity
The University of Michigan and Oakland University basketball teams came together Saturday at Forgotten Harvest in Oak Park to pack more apples for the food insecure.

From covering the Basketball Hall of Fame, Boston sports, and New England's charm to now being in Motown, Heath is loving the opportunity to explore the Mitten State and report on southeast Michigan's diverse communities. Before beginning his career in Springfield, Heath graduated from Stony Brook University, where he announced the school's sports teams. He grew up in Northern New Jersey and is a proud native of the Garden State. He is a diehard fan of the Brooklyn Nets, New York Yankees, New England Patriots, and Eastern Washington men's basketball teams.
Outside of work, Heath loves sports, comedy, dogs (especially basset hounds), matzo ball soup, playing cards, listening to disco and yacht rock music, and getting out of his comfort zone.
