Heat advisory goes into effect in Colorado
A heat advisory is now in place in Colorado, and high temperatures in the triple digits are expected.

Callie Zanandrie grew up in Parker, Colorado. She studied journalism at the University of Colorado Boulder and meteorology at Mississippi State University. A heat advisory is now in place in Colorado, and high temperatures in the triple digits are expected.
Dangerous heat will arrive starting Thursday across the Front Range and the state.
Today highs will soar into the 90s along the Front Range.
Another round of thunderstorms is expected to fire up in the afternoon on Colorado's Front Range. Some of the storms will possibly be severe, and as a result Friday is a First Alert Weather Day.
We have a First Alert Weather Day posted for Monday for high fire danger from Denver out over Colorado's Eastern Plains and for portions of the mountains and Western Slope.
Stormy weather is expected in Colorado Friday through the weekend. The potential for the storms to be severe has increased.

A line of thunderstorms rolled through the Denver metro area late Thursday night and brought damaging hail in some places.
