According to the sheriff's office, at about 5:10 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to a home in the 100 block of Willow Creek Circle for a death investigation.
The announcement was made in a video, with the caption "Big stars. Bigger stage. The next era," on the team's social media pages.
DPD said that dash camera video captured the suspects in a light-colored GMC Yukon, when two of them got out and started breaking into vehicles.
The lawsuit accuses the district of gross negligence and claims that it allowed Paul Campbell to continue working despite "warnings of his behavior."
The first shooting happened on Saturday, July 25. A second incident happened less than 24 hours later.
