Police report on Pete Hegseth allegation

A newly released police report provides details about the 2017 sexual assault allegation against Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump's pick for defense secretary. The accuser reported feeling like she had been drugged and recalls saying "no" a lot while in a hotel room with Hegseth, where she says he prevented her from leaving and was on top of her. Hegseth told police the encounter was consensual. His attorney has said he was not charged with a crime.

Hegseth refutes sexual assault allegations

President-elect Trump's pick for secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth, was investigated for an alleged sexual assault in October of 2017, officials in Monterey, California, have confirmed. Hegseth's lawyer said the allegation was "investigated by the Monterey Police Department and they found no evidence for it." Hegseth was probed for alleged sexual assault

Officials in California have confirmed that President-elect Trump's pick for defense secretary, Fox News host Pete Hegseth, was investigated for an alleged sexual assault in 2017. Monterey police released a statement with some details about the investigation, including that the alleged victim had bruises on her thigh. Vanity Fair was first to report the story and in a statement to that outlet, Hegseth's lawyer said the allegation was, "investigated by the Monterey Police Department and they found no evidence for it."
