"My Favorite Murder" hosts talk new memoir

A true crime comedy show may sound strange, but fans of "My Favorite Murder" say it is much more than just a podcast. The show averages more than two million listeners per episode and 30 million downloads per month. "My Favorite Murder" is hosted by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark.Their new book is a joint memoir called "Stay Sexy & Don't Get Murdered: The Definitive How-To Guide." Kilgariff and Hardstark join "CBS This Morning" to discuss the moment they realized they had a shared interest and their unique approach to conversations about murder.

Safety tips for planning a trip abroad

The mysterious deaths of American tourists in the Dominican Republic and the shooting of Red Sox legend David Ortiz are making some people reluctant to travel there. Six Americans have died in the DR in the last year, including a Maryland couple and a Pennsylvania woman who died within days of each other at the same resort. The FBI is helping local law enforcement with the investigation. Mark Ellwood, a contributing editor at Condé Nast Traveler, joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss some ways you can vet a hotel you're planning to stay at and how to stay safe while abroad.

Heartbreaking reality of CPS caseworkers

This April, 5-year-old AJ Freund was found dead in Illinois, and his parents were charged with murder. After Freund's death, "CBS This Morning" started looking into how something like this could allegedly happen, despite previous interventions by police and child welfare workers. We discovered that hundreds of American children known to Child Protective Services die of maltreatment every year. To learn more, spent a day with a CPS caseworker in Outagamie County, Wisconsin – and learned the disturbing and heartbreaking reality of the profession. Jericka Duncan reports.
