2020 Democrats look to the future

With New Hampshire and Iowa behind them, the Democratic primary candidates are focusing on how they will win the rest of the country. Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders came out of the first two tests victorious, with a surprisingly strong showing from Amy Klobuchar and an equally surprising lackluster finish from former frontrunner Joe Biden. Former Democratic advisers Jamal Simmons and Robby Mook join “CBS This Morning” to discuss what the results could mean for the future of the Democratic ticket.

Trump lashes out at DOJ lawyers in Stone case

Attorney General William Barr and President Trump are both under fire after Democrats accused the two of coordinating the DOJ’s reversal of Roger Stone’s sentencing recommendation. Trump, a longtime friend of Stone, lashed out at the prosecutors who were formerly on the case during media remarks on Wednesday, calling on them to “apologize to a lot of people.” Ben Tracy reports on the fallout after Barr was called to testify in front of the House Judiciary in March.

Bloomberg hit by fellow Democrats ahead of caucus

Democrats in Nevada are already voting in Saturday’s caucus, the next event in the presidential race. The newest poll shows Bernie Sanders leading Joe Biden by seven points, with four other contenders bunched up behind them. Most are focusing on a rival who won’t be on the ballot, former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg. Barr faces "crisis of confidence" inside DOJ

Attorney General William Barr is facing backlash from hundreds of former DOJ officials for reversing a sentencing recommendation for President Trump's longtime friend and ally Roger Stone. Barr's unusual trend of tapping U.S. attorneys to review matters of interest to Trump has also reportedly rankled Justice Department employees. Paula Reid reports on the discord within the executive branch as President Trump campaigns for the Nevada caucus.
