It happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday near Exit 14, the Valley Stream Exit.
Authorities tell CBS2 the accident took place in Farmingdale around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Several rounds were fired from a dark-colored SUV into the ride-share vehicle, striking the 22-year-old passenger.
The crash happened around 12:10 a.m. on the Southern State Parkway near exit 30 in Oyster Bay.
