As wildfires rage in eastern Canada, strong winds are pushing thick plumes of smoke over the border and into the United States.
In Minnesota's Twin Cities, the AQI was the worst it had been since the state began keeping records in 1980.
An Air Quality Alert remains in place due to the smoke from the raging wildfires in Canada.
New Jersey Forest Fire Service said conditions from the Bass River State Forest wildfire are improving. However, the lack of rainfall is still creating challenges for firefighters battling the blaze.
