Haitian immigrants across South Florida say the Trump administration’s decision to end Temporary Protected Status, set to force more than 350,000 people to leave the U.S. by February 2026, is inhumane, prompting planned legal action and community backlash.
The expiration of TPS policy for Haitian immigrants would make them eligible for deportation, unless they have other legal means to stay in the U.S.
"I still don't feel like I'm home. I still feel like I'm just roaming. I feel uneasy," he said from Haiti.
