According to Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, the robbery occurred at around 10:30 a.m. Deputies were initially called to the scene for reports of a robbery when they learned that the armored car was the target.
The threat was made via a 911 call at around 1:30 p.m., prompting school officials to place the campus on lockdown as they assess the situation.
The singer canceled on the sold-out crowd, telling them they would be reimbursed, either getting their money back or with a rescheduled performance.
