Placer County Veterans Monument

The Placer County Veterans Monument, originally known as the Lincoln Veterans Memorial Coalition, is trying to fill its walls by offering families and friends to purchase a plaque to honor veterans in Placer County. Located in McBean Park, each plaque is made from black granite with deep engraving, measuring 6 inches by 4 inches. Families and friends can purchase a personal plaque for their loved one, whether they are currently serving, have served or have passed.

Always Grateful Veterans Ruck March in Roseville

Attention Veterans and Patriotic Placer County Residents! Today the "Veterans of Placer County", Facebook group is hosting the first ever “Always Grateful Veterans Ruck March.” Today at 1pm all who attend will do a 2.7-mile march, heading down to the Roseville Pkwy and Pleasant Grove intersection, circling back at the Galleria and Fountains of Roseville intersection. All Veterans are encouraged to dust off their old uniforms and wear them and bring any of the following flags: The American Flag, The California State Flag, The Prisoner of War Flag or Any U.S. Military Branch Flag.

The Code 9 Project "Voices of Valor" Fundraiser 2024

The Code 9 Project is a nonprofit organization that provides education and training for First Responders, Veterans and their families for the prevention of PTSD and suicide. For more information on The Code 9 Project, visit: https://thecode9project.org It's a fundraiser for First Responders and Veterans and will be held at The Boardwalk located at 9426 Greenback Lane in Orangevale. There will be a live band karaoke competition.
