Nurses at UChicago Medicine gave union leaders the green light to call a strike as they negotiate with management.
Nurses at the University of Chicago Medical Center held a rally and strike vote on Tuesday. The nurses said since they picketed last month, the hospital has not addressed their concerns over staffing, long hours and burnout.
It was unclear late Tuesday how many drivers would partake in the protest – and how many travelers would be affected.
