Warning issued about West Nile virus with mosquito season beginning

One batch was confirmed in Hoffman Estates in Cook County, and the second in Jacksonville in Morgan County.
It's all in an effort to protect residents from the West Nile Virus.
The insects have also been found in Evanston, Glenview, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Northfield, and Skokie.
So far, mosquitos that tested positive for the virus have been found in Evanston, Glenview, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Northfield, and Skokie.
The district says it has found the first West Nile Virus-positive mosquitoes to occur in their traps in Morton Grove this year.
Health officials say they sampled the mosquitos at the end of June and they were taken from Bannockburn, Lake Villa, and Vernon Hills.
