Monday was senior and scout day at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield. Visitors age 60 and over got in for free. At the fair on Monday, Gov. JB Pritzker signed a bill to allow students who participate in FFA, the Future Farmers of America, or 4-H, to be excused from school to attend official events.
You must purchase a judging kit, including samples and a scorecard to participate.

That law also bans the sale and distribution of high-capacity magazines and switches that can turn semi-automatic guns into automatic weapons. This comes after Illinois Supreme Court upholds ban on assault-style weapons
Pritzker said this law follows standards set in other industries.
The new move, the Firearm Industry Responsibility Act, bans advertising or marketing that encourages paramilitary or unlawful private militia activity. It bans advertising firearms to people under 18 and limits the kinds of imagery that can be used in ads. And it allows people to sue manufacturers.
