The shooting happened on the entrance ramp to the Eisenhower at Homan Avenue on the city's West Side. CBS 2's Charlie De Mar reports.
Initial reports say the car was traveling in the center lane behind the trailer when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the rear passenger side of the trailer.
The pursuit lasted for about an hour, and the suspect reached speeds of more than 100 mph, prosecutors said.
