It will be held at the parks named in honor of African Americans who've helped shape the legacy of Chicago.
Dozens of girls are participating in a "Day of Play" hosted by the Chicago Park District. Parks across the city are holding activities on Friday for girls between the ages of 6 and 15. Maya Solis, Chicago Park District region director, tells us more.
Activities range from African dance to boxing lessons, esports, and basketball.
Starting at 9 a.m., parks across the city are hosting girls between the ages of six and 15 to join a slew of activities.
