A team from the Center for Coastal Studies freed a 500 pound turtle tangled up in gear.
Three local groups worked together to rescue a 400-pound sea turtle after it became tangled in fishing gear in Cape Cod Bay on Thursday.
More than 200 sea turtles are being treated at the New England Aquarium's Sea Turtle Hospital as standing season takes it toll.
Due to changing ocean temperatures, hundreds of sea turtles have been washing up almost dead onto New England beaches. Because local aquariums don't have room to nurse them all back to health, the volunteer pilots of Turtles Fly Too have come to the rescue.
They will be released Monday in Georgia, where they were sent for rehabilitation
Cold-stunned turtles can suffer from life-threatening medical conditions.
Adobo was rehabilitated at the New England Aquarium's Sea Turtle Hospital in Quincy.
