A house fire in south suburban Blue Island spread to four more buildings in the city, damaging several homes and a business. Now a family is searching for their missing dog.

A Pace bus was involved in a crash that followed a police pursuit from Blue Island to the West Pullman neighborhood.
Police said, shortly after 2 p.m., troopers responded to the inbound Dan Ryan near 43rd Street for a reports of shots fired.
The children's father, Ali Odeh, said the crash could have been avoided had the driver responsible already been in custody that day.
