Metro Fire said neighbors were the ones who called 911, and that they helped confirm the home was empty.
Around 10 a.m., two vehicles crashed into each other near Ione and Claypit roads. Metro Fire said crews arrived to find two vehicles with significant damage, and that seven people had to be taken to the hospital.
Officers were called to the 1600 block of Atlas Road around 4:15 p.m. Sunday for a report of an industrial accident, police said.
Officers arrived at the scene and found that there was a water and gas leak in the area, and began a preliminary evacuation of the area. The leaks were then shut off by Public Works and PG&E.

Officers were called around 4:36 a.m. to help the Stockton Fire Department with a vehicle fire near East Mariposa and Austin roads, police said.
Police said the men demanded the teen's property, but the 15-year-old refused and was then repeatedly punched and told to hand over his belongings.
The deadly crash happened around 12:19 a.m. near Ocala Avenue and Ridgemont Drive.
