Brittney Ermon is an Emmy Award-winning reporter for CBS LA, where she covers breaking news and the stories that matter most to Southern California communities.
Originally from Chicago, Brittney joined CBS LA after reporting and anchoring in Minneapolis and Madison, Wisconsin. Throughout her career, she has covered some of the Midwest's most significant stories, including the George Floyd protests and civil unrest, ICE protests and the devastating school shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church.
Her reporting has been recognized with an Emmy Award and honors from the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Radio Television Digital News Association.
Brittney earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Spanish, as well as a master's degree in journalism, from Ball State University.
She is passionate about connecting with Southern California's diverse communities and telling stories that make a difference, with a focus on amplifying underserved and underrepresented voices.
When she's not reporting, Brittney enjoys discovering new restaurants, traveling and salsa and bachata dancing. She's always looking for her next adventure!
