Mayor of Albany, N.Y., forgoes salary

Local leaders across the U.S. are calling on the federal government to provide direct emergency aid to help cities facing major revenue shortfalls due to the pandemic. New York's capital city is projected to face a budget gap of at least $17 million. To help offset the loss, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan announced she will reduce her salary to $0 for the rest of the year. Sheehan joins CBSN to discuss the cuts her city could see if federal aid isn't secured.

Ten weeks have passed since President Trump held his last campaign rally -- and while he has indicated that he "hopes" the show will go on, packed arenas remain on pause during the coronavirus outbreak. But even as the president's campaign migrates online indefinitely, one aspect of the Trump campaign brand is booming: merchandise sales.
