Buckingham Palace says doctors who treated King Charles for an enlarged prostate discovered an unspecified form of cancer, for which he's now undergoing treatment.
The palace said the king is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention and he's looking forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible
Ryne Sandberg, 64, played one season with the Philadelphia Phillies and later managed the team from 2013 to 2015.
"His Majesty's condition is benign and he will attend hospital next week for a corrective procedure" for enlarged prostate, Buckingham Palace said of King Charles III.
