Humid Friday in Philadelphia region with chance of severe storms. Here's the weather forecast.
The humidity becomes downright oppressive on Friday in the Philadelphia region and stays like that through the evening.
Temperatures will be headed back into the mid-90s Friday, bringing the feels-like-temps to 100 degrees or higher in the warmest part of the day. We are under a NEXT Weather Alert for that humidity and the risk of storms.
As for storms, we have a level 2 severe risk on Friday, which means scattered severe gusty storms are possible. Timing will be primarily during the late afternoon and evening, even into the late evening hours.
Today's forecast high of 97 would be another record breaker after we reached 97 yesterday. If storms fire up early, that could keep the temperature from getting quite that high.

The weekend will likely stay in the 90s but will be slightly cooler and less humid than Thursday and Friday.
The 90s will be around through the weekend, but there will be a considerable difference in humidity, which will make it feel much cooler than the prior few days.
Saturday is still hot, but not as humid — feeling more like last weekend — but another front approaches Sunday. This will pump up the humidity again and bring the threat for strong/severe evening storms.
