Firefighters were called around 3 a.m. to Amsterdam Avenue in Lincoln Square.
The lawsuits were filed on behalf of 19 victims and survivors. The complaints allege willful and reckless disregard for the lives of the building residents.

Funerals will be held in the days ahead for many of the 17 victims of the Bronx high-rise fire.
The medical examiner's office confirmed all 17 victims died of smoke inhalation.
