WEST BABYLON, NY (WCBS 880) - Residents of the West Babylon community say it will be good to have their neighborhood back, now that a federal judge has authorized the town to shut down the L.I. Cafe strip club.

They have been terrible neighbors, according to one homeowner.

"I'm very happy to hear that cause I have a little brother who, actually, his bus stop is right there [in front of the strip club]," she told WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs. "You used to see condoms and everything on the street.

The order to close the club follows a five-year battle with owners, who reneged on an agreement to end adult use of this business.
