B&C Morning Show: Bo Jackson Tells Us What He Knows These Days
During the 8 a.m. hour Boomer & Craig took a break from talking about Tim Tebow's uncertain future and the Knicks to welcome the legendary Bo Jackson into the Allstate Studio for a chat.
Bo was in town to promote his 'Bo Bikes Bama' campaign. Jackson trying to raise $1 million to for the Governor's Emergency Relief Fund, which was established to help those Alabama residents & communities that were affected by the deadly tornado outbreak across the state in April of 2011. During his sitdown with the guys, we heard about how Bo was the 'John Gotti' of his neighborhood by the age of 8. He talked about why he chose to attend Auburn over Alabama and recalled a game he played in college against a certain blonde 'TERPS QB'.
The guys asked the two-sport star about the injury that ended his football career and his special relationship with Al Davis. Speaking of his playing career(s), Jackson admitted that he looked at both his baseball and football careers as just a job, he was never trying to become a Hall of Famer.
Jackson stuck around for a while, long enough to tell Craig that he was warned by Boomer not to get to friendly with him. He also talked about not having any regrets, running over Brian Bosworth on the famous Monday Night Football game back in 1987, his relationship with Cam Newton, how he has never played as himself in Tecmo Football and never lifted a weight in his life...
