The Minneapolis Police Department responded to a report of a shooting on the 2600 block of Stevens Avenue South at approximately 1:05 p.m.
Tyler King was walking a woman to her car when gunfire erupted several blocks away.

Officers responded to a report of a woman shooting a gun at people on 15th Street West.
The Minneapolis Police Department says the shooting happened around 3:20 a.m. on the 24 block of 8th Street South. Responding officers found a 27-year-old man lying outside a vehicle in a parking ramp.
Lyz Lenz, a local journalist and author, told The Associated Press that she saw the driver swerve around another car and hit two women on a crosswalk in downtown Cedar Rapids around 7:15 p.m.
Police combed the area for witnesses and evidence, but nobody has been arrested. The man's death marks the 43rd homicide in the city this year.
