Authorities held a press conference on Thursday afternoon to update the media on the fatal shooting at FSU. They said two were dead and the shooter had been identified as a student and son of a Leon County deputy.
FSU student Tanya said they stayed in the class, turned off the lights and waited. She said they couldn't secure the doors because there were no locks. Tanya said she would like to see more security in places where students gather and sensible gun reform.
FSU student Dominic Mancuso said he was in the gym about 10 minutes away from the student union where the shooting took place and he just tried to stay calm. He said he and about 10 others took shelter to the faculty locker room.
