The name of the victim has not been announced. Authorities told CBSLA that the driver of the vehicle that hit the bicyclist fled on foot.
Authorities have detained the man who fled from the scene of a hit-and-run that occurred in Griffith Park on Saturday afternoon. The victim, riding a bicycle, was said to be around 70-years-old, and had just left an event at the park nearby.
