The victims were taken to hospitals in unknown condition.
The sprawling 20-acre campus in Jackson Park, just blocks from the lake, includes buildings, gardens, playgrounds, and a 225-foot museum tower.
The first robbery happened on Dec. 13, around 5 a.m., in the 0-100 block of West 69th Street. Days later, an armed robbery occurred on the train in the 0-100 block of West 79th Street on Dec. 15, around 3:30 a.m.
Organizers said the giveaway was about more than gifts, but about healing, resources, and hope for families.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has yet to release the names of the two victims, but does indicate the men may be 30 and 39 years of age.
All seven minors were charged with misdemeanor charges of battery. Police said all of minors charged were referred for counseling services and were released from custody.
