The plan was announced during a rally outside the 185-unit Oglesby Towers on Wednesday morning, with some holding up copies of their rent bills.
Oglesby Towers residents are fighting against the landlord's new system called Ratio Utility Billing System, or RUBS. Utilities are split among the building rather than through individual meters. Some said they’ve seen their rent increased as high as $500 due to the system.
