She ran to a nearby business where she collapsed, according to police.
She was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
The attackers got out of a car in the 600 block of West 61st Place and began shooting at a group of people on the front lawn of a home. CBS 2's Marissa Perlman reports.
We are told three of the victims have critical injuries.
Police say around 7:33 a.m., a 40-year-old man was shot in the neck while inside a residence, in the 6100 block of South Champlain Avenue.
Chicago police said the victim was standing outside when a red sedan approached, and an unknown man exited the car and fired shots.
Areanah Preston, 24, was shot around 1:42 a.m. on Saturday in the 8100 block of South Blackstone Avenue in the Avalon Park neighborhood.
Police say he shot an unidentified man following an argument in front of a fast food restaurant, in the 2100 block of East 71st Street.
The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds where he died
While on probation for robbery, he was arrested multiple times for weapons offenses, armed robbery and having a stolen car.
