Bringing a city like Chicago to life for the holidays is a tall task – as tall as the Willis Tower or the former John Hancock Center, or even this year's official Chicago Christmas tree. But as is the case every year, Chicago was up to the task. CBS 2's Darius Johnson reports.
The glow of 50,000 lights illuminated Millennium Park in the City of Chicago for the 110th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, and CBS 2 proudly led the festivities. On November 17th CBS 2's Irika Sargent and Joe Donlon will flip the switch lighting the tree in Millennium Park for the holidays at 6:00.
After being chosen over 100 others in the Chicagoland area, the giant tree in all its glory arrived before it's scheduled to be lit up at Millennium Park for the holidays.

It starts with a special brunch hosted by Chefs Art Smith and Lorena Garcia at Navy Pier.
Tickets for the event start at $79.
