The glow of 50,000 lights will illuminate Millennium Park as the City of Chicago prepares for the 110th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, and CBS 2 proudly led the festivities. People were gathering for the big countdown Friday afternoon to light up the 45-foot tree full of holiday spirit.

On November 17th CBS 2's Irika Sargent and Joe Donlon will flip the switch lighting the tree in Millennium Park for the holidays at 6:00.
After being chosen over 100 others in the Chicagoland area, the giant tree in all its glory arrived before it's scheduled to be lit up at Millennium Park for the holidays.
The De La Cruz family's tree will be lit up at Millennium Park on November 17.

It starts with a special brunch hosted by Chefs Art Smith and Lorena Garcia at Navy Pier.
Tickets for the event start at $79.
