Police said the driver was shot in the head, causing his sport-utility vehicle to crash into a building and a parked car. Sabrina Franza reports.
The victim's daughter said other incidents in the neighborhood have her concerned for her safety.

On Friday, a middle school in Gage Park kicked off its festivities for Hispanic Heritage Month. Students hit the stage to perform a re-enactment of "El Grito de Dolores."
Chicago police say the thieves would park their cars, then go up to the victim, pointing their guns, and demand their belongings.
The robberies happened between June 15-19 in the Gage Park, Humboldt Park, and Hermosa neighborhoods.
The situation happened around 3 a.m. in the 5900 block of South Washtenaw Avenue.
Chicago police said officers responded to the scene for a shots fired call. The offender was found inside a nearby residence.
A year later, a sense of normalcy is now on the horizon for the family, where the Gage Park Fieldhouse will resume summer programs as migrants are moved to new shelters.

According to Chicago police, the victim, a 38-year-old man, was standing in an alley when an unknown male approached and demanded his property at gunpoint.
