The program would offer work permits and deportation protections to unauthorized immigrants married to U.S. citizens, as long as they have lived in the U.S. for at least 10 years, sources said.
Governor Abbott said he believes SB4 mirrors federal policy and Texas would just enforce what is already on the books.
Gov. Abbott told CBS News Texas that the Supreme Court's ruling on SB4 is "consequential," and acknowledged the ruling isn't conclusive.
