Hawaii's governor is calling the wildfire the largest natural disaster in the state's history.
At least 55 people have lost their lives and the toll is expected to climb. The historic town of Lahaina has been devastated.
"Now, to just watch the news and see that where you were just 24 hours ago is gone and people have died...you just think of all the faces you saw and just pray that they're safe," Kim Welch said.
Many people are evacuating as wildfires continue burning in Hawaii.
