State health officials Monday, Jan. 25, reported fewer than 13,000 people were being treated for the virus in Texas hospitals, marking the seventh consecutive day of declining patient loads.
"While we just reported our deadliest week to date last week, and we're still seeing near record levels for COVID hospitalizations, we are starting to see some metrics go in the right direction," said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins.
In Dallas County, so far, four cases have been identified, and Dallas County Health and Human Services Director Dr. Philip Huang says there may be more.
