The Big Tex Boot Design Contest begins Oct. 22 and runs through Jan. 31, 2026.
Big Tex was taken down and put back into storage on Wednesday. Next year, he'll have a new pair of boots.
On Friday morning, Big Tex rose 55 feet into the air on the aptly named Big Tex Circle in the heart of Fair Park.
