After pulling plug on Brighton Park migrant tent camp, Morgan Park site still on the table

An autopsy determined Myrtle Simmons-Brown died from blunt force trauma. Prosecutors said Brown's DNA was found under her nails.
The officer and agents were conducting an undercover investigation when Eugene McLaurin mistook them for rival gang members.
Police have said, shortly before noon on Nov. 6, officers conducted an investigatory stop on 32-year-old Tranza Campbell near 73rd and Dante, leading to a shootout.
The summer lifeguard season starts in May, and runs through early September. At the end of summer, seasonal lifeguards may have the opportunity for full-time jobs.
"There's significant evidence of Darien's innocence that makes it so that we're surprised that the state is retrying the case," Darien Harris' attorney said.
"We will not proceed with housing families on a site where serious environmental concerns are still present," Pritzker said.
Latrice Phillips, 51, is charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of 33-year-old Calvin Truitt.
Police said two people were robbed in the 100 block of Chicago Avenue around 7:40 a.m.
Over the weekend, the city said the site is safe to house migrants, following an environmental review that prompted the removal of contaminated soil.
Police said, in each of the robberies, four people approached victims near or at a street vendor location, flashed rifles and handguns, and stole the victim's property.
Chicago police confirmed late Sunday night that the fire has been classified as an arson. Area 1 detectives were investigating.
"Well, I'm not very, um, fond of the way they've conducted themselves up until this point, and as far as I'm concerned, they can go (expletive) themselves. Good luck getting it on the agenda."
The victims have been identified as William S. Davis, 52, and Chelsi A. Bates, 31, both of Arkansas.
Ald. Chris Taliaferro (29th) said the fieldhouse will reopen Monday, allowing for after-school programming and other services to resume.
