Shardaa Gray is a Multimedia Reporter for CBS News Chicago. She joined the team in December 2021. She was born and raised in the south suburbs. She's happy to return home to report on her community.

Shardaa previously worked at KOKH in Oklahoma City for five years, where she was the morning reporter.
Prior to that, she reported in at KSN in Wichita, Kansas; and WJFW in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
A native of the South Side, Shardaa graduated from Columbia College Chicago, where she earned her B.A. in journalism, and is a proud graduate of Homewood-Flossmoor High School. She is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
When she's not chasing a story, Shardaa loves to spend time with her family, dogs and exploring the city. You can probably catch her at a Bears, Bulls, White Sox, or Cubs game.

Runners came from 100 countries to compete in the 26.2 mile race.
A double booking at Federal Plaza had two separate groups ready to protest at the same time -- but the double booking allowed them to rally together.

It's not the first robbery spree for these offenders. On September 27, they robbed five people starting after 10:00 p.m. and going for 90 minutes.
Chicago chefs are coming together Wednesday night to raise money for the World Central Kitchen's relief efforts.

This time some hard-to-watch video shows an elderly passenger getting robbed and hit with a wine bottle.
"I think they were trying to start the engine. I think it's a kid. They took my laptop."
Sunday marks the 83rd annual Mexican Patriotic Parade.
"I follow them on Instagram and saw today that they were like, serving sandwiches, come on in, that was a little head scratching to me."
