Rachel Kim

Rachel Kim is a weekend morning anchor and weekday reporter who joined CBS Los Angeles in 2009. You can catch her anchoring Saturday 6-10am and on Sunday 5-8am/8:30-9am. She reports for the 4/5/6pm newscasts Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Prior to joining CBS LA, Rachel was a bureau chief and fill-in anchor at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Before that, she worked in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at KOCO-TV. Rachel began her career at KAMR-TV/KCIT-TV as a weekend anchor and reporter in Amarillo, Texas.

Throughout her career, Rachel has been recognized for her reporting and community service. She is especially proud of receiving a Golden Mike Award for Best TV News Reporting at CBS Los Angeles.

Rachel is a Southern California native who was born and raised in Glendale. She earned her master's degree in broadcast journalism and double bachelor's degrees in communication and English from the University of Southern California. She's a proud Trojan...Fight On!

When Rachel isn't covering the news, she loves cheering on her favorite sports team - the Angels! Rachel also enjoys playing the piano and playing with her three beautiful nieces. She is fluent in Korean and is always working on her Spanish.
