As SkyCal flew overhead around 9 a.m., a sheriff's department SUV was disabled in the middle of the Santa Monica and San Vicente Boulevards intersection. The other vehicle involved in the crash was pushed off to the edge of the intersection.
"So we will see what the evening traffic looks like, but I can tell you the morning traffic looked good, looked normal, looked like Angelinos were paying attention," Mayor Bass said.
It is predicted that this fall and winter season may be much like last year's, where influenza, RSV, and COVID-19 spread concurrently in L.A. County.

As SkyCal flew over the highway in the area of Neptune's Net around 8 a.m., both accident scenes were active with investigators, tow trucks, smashed vehicles, and emergency responders.
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incidents and has increased patrols around Augustus F. Hawkins High School on W. 60th Street.
LAPD announced that 35-year-old Samuel Haskell had been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the found body. Three of his family members are still missing.
