Hikers rescued from Point Reyes National Seashore after rising tide blocks exit

Fire crews were the first to arrive at the 1750 Howe Avenue scene around 2:30 a.m. due to a fire alarm, the Sacramento Fire Department said.
The vehicle went down a creek off Monticello Road, near the Circle Oaks community, Cal Fire said.
Just before 1 a.m., officers responded to a crash involving a truck and another vehicle near Roseville Road and Connie Drive.
The tested samples were from the South Shore of Lake Tahoe near Camp Richardson Resort.
The DOJ said 44-year-old Richard Tillman faces a federal arson charge for the fire in the early morning of July 20.
San Ramon police said three juveniles were located, and one of them was suspected of starting the fire.
The CHP said no one was injured, and officers were at the scene investigating.
The CHP said a woman fled the scene of an assault in a stolen vehicle and was involved in a 10-car crash on Highway 101 shortly after.

Around 4:45 a.m., officers went to the 3400 block of McKee Road for an alarm. When they arrived, they found that someone had backed into the deli's front doors with a vehicle.
The crash happened near Berryessa Road and Morrill Avenue.
Police said officers learned two people had gone into the store and taken purses from the racks, and while trying to drive away from the area, the suspects drove through barriers at the mall.
