Donald Fountain, a multi-skilled photojournalist for CBS News Atlanta, is known for his captivating work behind the camera, capturing the best of Atlanta.
Before joining CBS Atlanta, Donald honed his skills as a news photographer for WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Subsequently, he spent two years as a photojournalist in Charlotte, North Carolina, for WCNC Charlotte and Queen City News.
During his tenure in Charlotte, Donald's work was recognized by the National Press Photographers Association for his coverage of Hurricane Helene and his commitment to community-based journalism.
Donald graduated from Louisiana State University in the fall of 2022. His exceptional enterprise storytelling earned him a Student Production Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Science Suncoast Region.
Outside of news, Donald is a passionate LSU football fan who eagerly supports the Tigers during the fall. He also enjoys cooking and watching Marvel movies.
