The suspect has been in custody since the arrest in 2020.
The 29-year-old man has a bail of $875,000 and officials say he remains in custody.
The defendant is accused of operating an extensive firearm manufacturing and trafficking operation in Kensington's Harrowgate section.
The opinions were released a day after the Republican-majority state Senate voted unanimously to put the trial on hold.
The trial was supposed to take place in the Pennsylvania State Senate.
The trial had been scheduled to begin next Wednesday.
The motion was approved unanimously in the Republican-controlled Senate and indefinitely postpones the trial. It was scheduled to begin on Jan. 18.
A 32-year-old man was convicted Monday of third-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man in April 2017.
The move follows a dramatic rise in carjackings in the city.
