A crash involving a tractor-trailer and a van caused a traffic mess on I-295 north in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, on Wednesday.
Drivers are stuck in a slowdown on I-295 in Mansfield, Burlington County. The right and center lanes on the southbound side are closed for emergency repairs. This is in the area before Exit 52. The Department of Transportation says they're repairing a dip in the roadway following the collapse and replacement of a metal pipe. The repairs are expected to last through Saturday.

A CBS News Philadelphia investigation found the New Jersey Department of Transportation ultimately rejected repeated warnings from the highway project's contractor about the material used in the retaining wall's embankment and slope before its failure in March 2021.

Route 42 at the I-295 overpass is jammed because of police activity. Three lanes are blocked on the southbound side from 295 to Route 55. Northbound is closed from Creek Road to I-295.
Drivers are being directed to get off at Exit 26. The ramp reopens at 5 a.m. Friday.
Before November 2023 there was no direct connection from I-295 north to Route 42 south or from 42N to I-295S.

I-295 northbound, between Route 1 and the Scudder Falls Bridge, will be reduced to one lane on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Authorities have not released the number or identities of the victims at this time .
A portion of what is currently I-95 in Pennsylvania and New Jersey will be re-designated as I-295 in August.
Officials say the incident occurred just before 2 p.m. Sunday on Exit 10 of I-295 Northbound.
It happened shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday in the northbound lanes, north of Exit 26 (I-76/I-676/Route 42 in Bellmawr).
